Terms and Conditions of Bia At home

Terms and Conditions
Our Terms and Conditions are outlined below; please note that these do not affect your statutory rights.
These Terms and Conditions are valid as of April 2014 but we reserve the right to update them from time to time.

1. REGISTRATION
By registering your details on our website (in ‘My Account’) and purchasing products from Bia at Home Limited,  you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of sale which apply to all transactions on BiaatHome.ie. We require you to complete the ‘My Account’ form with the following details in order to avail of our services.
• Your mailing address and the billing address for the payment card being used
• Your home telephone number and your cellular phone number
• Your email address. This is for order confirmation purposes and other relevant information relating to your order such as changes to the Bia at Home Delivery Service

Bia at Home Limited exclusively sells the goods on our website directly to the end user and they must not be resold without our prior written consent.
There are two stages of order confirmation. The first is the ‘on screen confirmation’ immediately after the payment has been received. The second is an email to confirm your full order details.
For data protection purposes, we do not retain your payment details from previous orders. Every purchase from Biaathome.ie requires new payment details to be entered. It is your responsibility to keep your password secure.

2. PRODUCT PRICING
The prices of goods charged shall be as quoted on the website at the time you confirm your order with us.
Excluding any inadvertent technical error or omission on pricing, we will honour the prices as published at the time of placing your order. Your credit/debit card will only be charged for items dispatched to you. If you order a large catering size of a meal that is currently out of stock, we will endeavour to supply the same number of total portions but in smaller tray sizes. Your card will not be charged extra if the price of these smaller trays is greater than the ordered amount.

All of our food products are currently zero-rated for VAT. Our minimum order level is €64 (to maintain optimum temperature regulation) with free delivery on any orders over €150.00 in Ireland and with reduced delivery charges elsewhere. If shortages of a product mean that the total price of the dispatched goods fall below any delivery threshold, Bia at Home will honour the original delivery charge. The prices of goods shown on the website do not include delivery charges.

3. DELIVERY
Bia at Home Limited uses a next-day carrier service, Monday - Friday, for delivery of all items purchased from Biaathome.ie. This means that goods that are ordered -

Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday (get collected Monday, delivered Tuesday)

Monday (collected Tuesday, delivered Wednesday)

Tuesday (collected Wednesday, delivered Thursday)

Wednesday (collected Thursday, delivered Friday)

If we received orders before 11am, we endeavour to get them sent out same day, for next day delivery, but we cannot guarantee this.


If no special instructions are added in the delivery details phase of the order process, the customer is presumed to agree to sign for the delivery. No deliveries shall be returned to the depot; they shall be left at the delivery address and chargeable to the customer. Special delivery requests will be followed where practicable but the customer must ensure that they are reasonable e.g. instructions to knock at a neighbour’s house should mean it is within a short walking distance of your property and does not substantially affect the couriers delivery time or distance covered. The customer should have ample freezer space available to receive the delivery.We are keen to ensure that our service works well for our customers, so we will attempt to contact you prior to the courier leaving the site of a failed delivery, but of course we cannot guarantee that this will be successful and it is the customer’s responsibility to have someone available to receive the delivery.We reserve the right to restrict deliveries in certain areas and this includes the right to withdraw the service altogether, depending on the demand on our kitchen.

4. GIFT VOUCHERS
• Vouchers cannot be exchanged or refunded for cash.
• Vouchers can be used towards the purchase of goods at a higher price than their face value upon payment of the difference. No change or credit will be given for unused portions of a voucher.
• Bia at Home Limited is under no liability for replacement or refund should vouchers be lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed whether they have been redeemed or not. We furthermore reserve the right to refuse any vouchers which have been mutilated, damaged or defaced.
• Vouchers are only valid with the unique serial number printed on the reverse and for the amount printed next to it.

5. CANCELLING AN ORDER
Orders can be cancelled at any time up to 11 AM on the day of dispatch. Cancelled orders bear a non-refundable charge at a rate that depends on the type of card used for the payment. This charge covers the cost of the cancellation imposed on us by the card provider.

6. OUR REFUND POLICY
We sell perishable goods so we request our customers to inspect the food once the box is opened. If you are unsatisfied with any of the items in your order or any part of the delivery service from Bia at Home please contact us within 12 hours of delivery– either by emailing us via the Contact Us page of the website or by telephone and asking for Home Delivery. We shall be happy to exchange or refund any item you feel does meet our quality standards, or any item that has been damaged in transit. Please note all packaging and contents must be retained and returned to be eligible for refund or replacement. If we have sent you an incorrect item, please notify us as soon as possible. If you would like us to replace the incorrect item with the item that you ordered, we shall send you the correct one as soon as possible, free of charge.We operate an open and honest business policy and depend heavily on our good name so please contact us immediately if you experience problems or you have a suggestion for improvement to our service. 7. ALLERGENS
Bia at Home handles celery, celeriac and nuts. Our kitchen handles gluten, celery, celeriac, soya, sulphites and milk. Please advise us of any special sensitivities.
